A Month in a Writer’s Life – July 2018

As months continue to dash toward the end of the year, I’m back – yet again and seemingly way too soon – with my regular report on my writer’s life. The memories of my move across the States slowly fade, and I find myself rebuilding my routines. Continue reading “A Month in a Writer’s Life – July 2018”

A Month in a Writer’s Life – June 2018

It seems like forever already since I moved to Virginia, but only now I finally feel that my mind and life are settling back into a routine. After rather perilous two months, I welcomed some steady productivity and progress, especially in my writing, even if it wasn’t as fast as I’d hoped to. A Month in a Writer’s Life – May 2018

Another month sped by me. If there was a time police, it would have gotten a ticket for reckless driving for sure. In comparison to the super-crazy March and April, May was the time of slowly settling down and checking whether my routine survived the turmoils of the “grand move”. Yet, after two months of struggling to keep going in a somewhat organize manner, I wasn’t about to exhaust myself even more and chose a slower pace instead. A Month in a Writer’s Life – April 2018

A month in a writer’s life seems like a significant amount of time. Yet, when I blinked on the first of April, the month was suddenly coming to an end already. Even though we unpacked and settled in fairly quickly after our move across the continent, April was far from being back to the routine. I wasn’t overly busy, but the mind space needed to sort out all the bureaucratic problems that arose over time consumed a lot of my focus. It’s enough to say that swapping our driving licenses, a task that should have taken us one visit to DMV, took a month, multiple visits, and was only resolved because of… Twitter. Other issues might not have been that time consuming, but they did contribute to my general lack of progress this month. Continue reading “A Month in a Writer’s Life – April 2018”

A Month in a Writer’s Life – February & March 2018

The last two months blitzed by so quickly, my memories seem to be mostly a blur. Life happened, affecting my usual routine, and forcing me to combine my monthly post into a two-month summary. Continue reading “A Month in a Writer’s Life – February & March 2018”

A Month in a Writer’s Life – January 2018

January meant entering the fourth year of the writing challenge, and I even though I have my routine sorted already, I couldn’t resist joining again. 365 Writing Club does miracles when it comes to accountability. This year’s theme is “The Daily Writer”, focusing back on building the habit to write every day, and even though last year I missed only 4 days, I decided I could do better. Did I manage? Continue reading “A Month in a Writer’s Life – January 2018”

A Month in a Writer’s Life – December 2017

Another month went by, and with it—another year, therefore December’s A Month in a Writer’s Life will be a bit of cheating, summing up my whole year. It didn’t go exactly how I thought it would, but I can’t say it was bad. Continue reading “A Month in a Writer’s Life – December 2017”

A Month in a Writer’s Life – November 2017

Where do those days and months go? It feels like I was just writing the October post, and now it’s time to post it again. When it comes to creativity, November turned out an interesting month. I had to shift some of my priorities, and I ended up more busy than usually. Continue reading “A Month in a Writer’s Life – November 2017”

A Month in a Writer’s Life – October 2017

I look in the calendar and can’t believe October is already gone. It was a bumpy and uneven month in many aspects of my life, but all in all I can’t complain about it. An anthology with two of my stories had its launch day, I managed to keep writing daily, and I launched my Facebook page. Continue reading “A Month in a Writer’s Life – October 2017”

A Month in a Writer’s Life – September 2017

Yet another month goes by in my writer’s life. This time it was full of excitement: some planned and long-awaited, some unexpected. I also managed to be quite productive, as if with the summer gone, my body woke up from the “heat slumber”. Continue reading “A Month in a Writer’s Life – September 2017”
